The Professional Pest Management Association of BC invites abstract submissions for the symposium with the theme “Intersection of Nature and Technology in Pest Management,” scheduled for March 1, 2024, at KPU Langley campus.

The Pacific Branch of the Entomological Society of America will host their 2024 meeting from April 14-17 at Waikoloa Beach, Hawaii. Early-bird registration fees are available until March 28, 2024. In addition to oral and poster presentations, several other activities will be offered, including social mixers and an employment fair. The Entomological Society of British Columbia has initiated a new award, the Entomological Society of British Columbia Legacy Award, to recognize B.C. entomologists that have made outstanding contributions to their discipline of entomology throughout their career. This award will be awarded to an individual in recognition of their significant contributions in research, mentoring, teaching, extension, innovation, pest management and active volunteer involvement in the ESBC and other societies/organizations in B.C. and beyond.
